I have good pictures of my old firewall. I'm working on the new boot cowl and want to place the penetrating controls in the right spot. I could use my old firewall, but with the rest of the airplane having been an old patched together job, I'm not sure that I should trust the old firewall penetration locations. I've perused cub club, and can't get a fix on the right places either. Maybe you have a cub club reference for me.

In any case, my old firewall has the penetration for the throttle in the upper right side, above the northeast engine bolt. (All of this is looking at the FRONT of the firewall.

The South east area has the penetration for the Cabin Heat control.

The North West quadrant has the penetration for fuel and some electrical.

The South West has the penetration for the Carb Heat.

AT least that is what my photo documentation shows.

So, look at the pictures I've attached, and make some recommendations if you can.

Further, what is a really nice way to do the penetrations. The old ones were just rubber gaskets with a couple pounds of silicon squirted around hither and thither. I'd like to make something that is solid and looks good too. My friends Hatz biplane uses a kinda ball bearing thingy that mounts in the firewall and the controls pass through those.

Any any all thoughts will be welcome. Otherwise, I'll take my chances on the penetrations of the old firewall and their locations.
