There is an interesting Cub advertised on Barnstormers. It started as a TG8 glider but was converted to a standard J-3 after the war.

Did the factory do any of these conversions? If not were there many field conversions? If it was done by a 337 that would be approved data since it was before 1955??? At first it sounds like a paperwork nightmare but this may have been done more often than I think.

Anyone have more knowledge of this.
