C-90 with Aero-Matic Prop

I am in contact with a gentleman that has a C-90 with an Aero-Matic prop he is wanting to sell. Only problem being that is has no paperwork. IE....it is currently installed in an experimental plane. Is there any way to re-certify this engine? It is on a plane in Canada if that makes a difference. I may just end up building a Legend Cub anyways so it wouldn't be problem then. But I would like to use it on a PA-11 if I could.
