I'm planning to bring a PA11 back from North Carolina up to New Jersey. The engine, a C-90-8, is new with only 5 hours on it, still with mineral oil. The plane has a Mac 1B90 7150 prop. I was thinking of running it at about 2,300 rpm, but open to suggestions.

I want to plan conservatively, and stop at grass airports only along the way. What is a conservative true airspeed and fuel burn ? I was thinking 80 miles an hour and 5 gallons an hour, but not sure if this is too conservative.

I'd love to do it and only one stop, but think it might be safer and easier to make two. I think I'll go east of the DC SFRA and avoid the restricted areas...
