Purchasing a '41 J-3 (landplane) with a C-85-8F that currently has a 35" pitch MT prop...Any thoughts on this? Sensenich recommends a 72GK46 prop standard, 72GK44 climb. I think this lady will climb like a home-sick angel, but cruise is going to be lackluster even for a J-3. MT makes a great quality prop, but does anybody have any empirical data? Alternately I could pull the MT prop (zero-time factory new) and sell it to recoup the cost of a new Sensenich?
