Too bad that nice discussion got buried in the Bunker thread.

I looked closely today. Front brake pedals and rear brake pedals on all our Cubs including a CC Cub overlap the inboard edge of the rudder pedals by about a quarter inch. My size 11 cowboy boots are only slightly angled with my heels resting on the pedals. Very comfortable.

The new J-3 came with outboard brakes. My heels, being used to regular brakes, were pushing on the pedal pivot point. I moved those suckers inboard in a big hurry.

If you want to graduate to a Super Cub, stick with the inboard location. It will make the transition easier.

Opinion.
