Please respond with pros and cons, I am new to the J-3 world...since my J-3 is far from original, I am attempting to make it as easy to fly for my 2 up and coming pilots (11 and 14 year old boys).
Currently equiped as follows:
1947 J-3 with C-90-12 (No starter or generator)
(2) 18 Gallon Wing Tanks ONLY
Metal Prop
800 x 4 Tires w/ original brakes
Extended Baggage Area
Maule Tailwheel
PA-18 Rear (Removable) Seat
Vortex Generators (Adding this week)
I am looking for a low stall speed, trying to keep the weight down....don't worry, I don't plan on flying with 36 gallons....hope to have about 15 or so.
