Hello all. I’m rebuilding my j-3 and pa-11 at the same time. Couldn’t finish one so decided to both to “save time”. Anyway I’m a IA and have a set of Dakota pa-11 wings that I’d like to use on the j-3 with the 18 gallon tank in the left wing for aux fuel.
Questions are:
Is there a stc for this mod or am I looking at pursuing a field approval
Also the location of the cross cable is higher in the -11 wings than the j-3 wing.
It seems like it would be no different mod than say a j-3 wing modified with a aux fuel tank. What I do like about the -11 wing is the tank cover is removable in case there is a leak 20 yrs down the road.
Other option modify the wing back to j-3 specs or sell and buy a different set.
