Folks: I’m building a WagAero Sport Trainer using a ‘43 L-4 fuselage. Before drilling the spars, I thought I’d just make sure everything was going to fit so I went to work with my tape measure. I found that the height of the 6 1/4” wood spar(front) is going to interfere with the fairing tubing by about 1/4”. Should I tear the birdcage off and raise it an inch (probably the right way) or maybe just heat the fairing tubing and move it up 1/4”? I had considered just relocating the mounts to allow clearance, but that so often creates problems downstream starting with strut adjustment flexibility, etc

Thanks for any words of wisdom.
