Just completing a trial hang of the wings and struts and ran into an issue. I’ve collapsed the struts (bottomed out the threads) and for whatever reason I’ve still got a little too much dihedral. Book say 2 3/8” birdcage to stretched string and I’ve got right at 2 3/4”. Is that going to be an issue? I understand that the dihedral enhances stability but what’s the downside of too much? Seems to me that the Cl may be reduced incrementally but can’t believe it would be significant. The fix would probably include rebuilding the strut mount strap and relocating the lower hole. Lot of work but doable. Any ideas???
