Hi,

First time post. Have a 46 J3 and had to replace the airspeed indicator. When we removed the old one I was surprised that there was no static connection. Thus the reason when I open the window in flight I loose 5-6mph. Was there ever a static port in a J or were they just vented to the back of the panel?

Thanks

Tom
