I believe most of us have the Garmin GPS 496 in the panel. I have been concentrating so much on flight training that I have ignored any training on the 496. I have it at home with the portable antenna. I have read the book and have a Vflight interactive DVD guide and tutorial.

I follow the DVD and push the same buttons on my 496 and it doesn't always do the same thing as the DVD. I do not have any problems with my GPS on my boat but I am coming up against the wall on the 496. I can do the very basic things but getting into multiple destinations and waypoints I am lost.

Do any of you know of a live garmin 496 ground school course that I could attend? How are the rest of you making out with your 496?
