I'm repairing the exhaust tailpipe and shroud on my J3 and wonder if the ring that goes over the tailpipe at the bottom of the shroud is supposed to be there.
It doesn't show up in the parts manual and there are so many screw holes in the shroud that I'm not sure where it is supposed to be. The tailpipe itself has two rings welded on, one of which is half blocked off I suppose to get more carburetor heat.
