Exhaust for C85-12

I have installed a C85-12 engine in my J3 project that is very near completion. I tried to install the exhaust system yesterday and found that the oil screen housing is going to be in the way of the muffler shroud. The exhaust system is new and came with the project but the project had a C65-8 engine.

What is the best solution for this problem?
