Hello Everyone ,
My name is Joe and I recently purchased my first airplane, a 1945 J3 with dons dream machines stroker motor!
She flies like a dream and I plan on teaching my daughter to fly in her, as well as just some fun low and slow flying. I’m a gulfstream captain for my day job so and it’s been a dream for a while now to get back into something closer to the ground.
I am a 12,000 hour ATP, CSEL, CSES, CFI, CFII, and MEI. As for tailwheel experience I have close to 800 hrs in champs, citabrias, Beavers, Beech 18’s, starduster too’s and Pitts S1’s and S2’s.
This is my first cub flying other than 20 years ago when I got my CSES in one of Jack Browns cubs. Speaking of if anyone knows of any floats that would work on this airplane I’m in the market.
Gotta say, very impressed with the way this airplane handles, a true dream to fly.
I am located in central FL near Daytona / Sanford and am definitely interested in meeting folks in the area with knowledge of these airplanes, as I kind of dove in head first on this one.
