I am looking at a Cub with Bendix S4 mags. Ignition is unshielded. I fly near class B and really need to use a radio. Seems straightforward to upgrade the harness and plugs. But I want to confirm that the mag itself is also shielded. True of all Bendix S4s?
The Cub doesn't have shoulder harnesses, which is a requirement for me. It looks like installing the front harness is simple. But the rear harness will require some fabric work. This Cub is a newer restore and looks great. Will the fabric work to install the rear harness leave behind an ugly patch job? Any guesses at the rough price of that fabric work and install?
