I am helping a young person build a set of metal-spar J-3 wings. He is making the spars from blanks. Everything is going well. However, he has reached the point where it is time to install the bows. He has cleaned out the web and is ready to bend the capstrips. He has a set of older wrecked wings to secure the correct angle, but how does one bend the capstrips? Does anyone know how the factory did it or have experience bending them to fit the bows?
