Hey all!!! My dad owns a 1939 J-3 Cub.... it is being handed down to me, and he was wanting to know what the value of the plane was, and neither of us has any clue! So, I thought I'd get on here and post its stats:

1939 J-3 Cub (manufactured 22 Nov 1939) in Pennsylvania
Reed Clipped Wings done in 1961
1985- plane was recovered & engine upgraded to C-85 (not sure how many hours on this engine, Dad guestimated that it has about 500).

It currently has no transponder, nor electrical system, but it does have wing lights (useable if a small car battery is placed up in front of the passenger seat). It also has a radio antenna with a cable to plug in a radio. Log book for the plane back to 1941.

The poor bird hasn't flown in quite some time and I'm going to be getting her back up soon (fresh annual, etc). Anyone wanna give me a rough value of what she's worth?
