In my quest to fly anything with a wheel at the back, yesterday I just took a Zlin Savage up under instruction. I found it tricky on the tarmac and pretty much lost it in a wheel landing. The instructor took over.

Can anybody tell me whether the ground handling characteristics of the Zlin are like a Cub? If have never flown a Cub, there isn't one around here, but I am curious. Of course, they 'look' like a cub :)

Now I've only been flying Citabrias and I just started in a 170, so I am pretty new at this. But the Citabria was a piece of cake compared to the 170 and I think the Zlin is even trickier.

It was a bit of fun to fly, although that Rotax is kind of weird.
