The winter restoration of the fuselage is progressing but I will need a new set of wing root covers as the old ones are in a pretty poor state and are not authentic to use as a template. Univair only appear to have covers for the J3 that appear to be in 3 parts each side as opposed to the L4 H covers that have 4 parts each side. Is their any difference apart from the number of parts.

Has anyone any experience on these or a PDF copy of the plans. I am sticking with the metal covers rather than the clear in theatre modification.

Thanks for any assistance. Dave Dash

PS I have just received a copy of the new Ken Wakefield book and as suspected 43-29601 was not with the 9th US Army. Fascinating book however with plenty of detail but photos are limited and small.
