For some reason my cable sticks down where it attaches at the carburetor. Has been doing this for a very long time but just makes it difficult to move the throttle handle smoothly forward. I either move it till it sticks some then tap on it with the palm of my wrist. Often resulting in a jerk, kicking in too much gas quickly with the engine not able to catch up quickly.
After my IA fooled around with it a couple years back it was worse, but we were able to get it to work again.
The price of $399 at Aircraft Spruce was just too much for me to give for a piece of wire.
Finally got down to searching other places for the cable. Found one at Wag Aero for $113. It described it as the proper one. It shows the carb end with the slide and the handle end with a 90 degree bend. Does that sound right?
Will be so nice to advance the throttle smoothly for a change!
