Okay, I admit I only have exactly 2hrs and 20mins of time in a Cub, but I do have some questions:

1.) Preflight inspection - how do I know when something is damaged or not? For example, bungee, pitot tube, struts, etc. I wish there was some kind of visual material one could view to see what something looks like if it's "not right". I have never seen a a bad tailwheel spring, I don't know if I'd be able to spot a potential issue on the field if it ever came up...is there some visual material online?

2.) Is trim used in normal, everyday flying? I heard one guy tell me he never uses it.

3.) Do you suggest I practice SPINS in the cub during training?

thanks!
