On Sunday, Smitty and I took a flight up to Simsbury, CT for their big Fly In. It was great, with lots of airplanes and antique cars. They assumed I was an old Cub and put me in with all the display aircraft. I wasn't going to tell them otherwise!

The first photo is of Long Island Sound and that's Connecticut in the distance. They had a huge turnout and photo two shows just a small number of the people attending. Smitty attracted a lot of attention and I spent several hours telling people about the Sport Cub as you can see in photos three and four.

Smitty now has 72 hours on him. I've put 50 on since August 1st. At 2650 rpm, I burn 6.5 gal/hr doing about 100mph. At 2500 rpm, I burn about 6 gal/hr doing 92mph, and at 2300 rpm, I burn 4.5 gal/hr doing about 82mph. These are rough numbers and over time I'll refine them. The next oil change is at 75 hours this week and we'll check the rocker shafts at the same time.
