Does anyone have any paperwork to replace the front seal sling in the J-3/L-4 with a wood bottom (like the back seat), and thus do away with the 100 hour seat sling inspection? I know some Super Cubs have them and it would be really easy to do. But does anyone have anything to make it a legal mod? This is such an easy thing to do. It would also make it super easy to get to the brake reservoirs.

Or...has anyone skinned this cat a different way?

I hate having to take it to a maintenance shot every 100 hours for such a silly inspection when a wood bottom (like the back seat has), would do away with the need for the mandatory 100 hour inspection.

Thanks.

Jon
