Hi All,

I buddy has asked for my advise on his 0-200 engine. During cylinder replacement for a crack near the spark plug, a small quantity of high temperature RTV was found on the cylinder base area. I know that this is a no-no during engine assembly, and advised him to address this situation by removing all cylinders and cleaning off the RTV. I'm curious if anyone thinks this is an over-reaction, and would have advised otherwise?

So, how serious an issue is this on an 0-200 engine?

John
