The removeable tubes that go from the lower center firewall to the cluster on either side of the instrument panel were removed from my 1939 J3; stubs and all. The drawings that I got from the Cub Club don't show any detail. Does anyone have the details ? (eg. stub lengths,ID, OD, removeable tube ID, OD, length; bolt size and bolt location) I want to put these tubes back in while I have the airframe open.
The cub was flying without these tubes and no extra reinforcement for years.(not by me) I wonder if they are really necessary for 65 HP?
