In doing some research for my Franklin Cub Project, I found that there were references to a Piper L-4D using a Franklin 65HP engine. I have never heard of this as I thought all of the military cubs were Continental 65's as that is what the Army wanted. Does anyone out there have any info on this L4? A google search didn't turn up anything.
