Cubbers,

Would you guys mind educating this young buck of a Cub pilot as to what "NC" in the registration meant when it was commonly used. I'm familiar with the current regs which still allow it's use on registration numbers for antique airplanes, but a friend asked me what "NC" meant, why it was used, and when was it stopped. I had to claim ignorance on it's origins, but you can help me speak intelligently next time I'm asked.
