Hi folks,
I have a near complete rebuild of a C85-12 stroker that I will be installing in my J3 soon replacing the A65-8. I don't have the stroker STC yet but have some questions.

1. My engine guy is looking for manifold exhaust pipes that will allow the oil screen to be removed easily. I guess I'm I will have to modify the cowl some for the lower exhaust. I don't want to beat up my shroud on the muffler. What mods do you folks with C85 engines have done?
2. Where can I get a right angle drive that will allow me to use my original counter-clockwise tach?
3. What is the best all around wood prop for land operations with this engine? I assume the STC will say but have not seen it yet.
4. What is the best metal prop for float plane operations?
5. I have access to either a Stromberg carb or the Marvel carb (this is the appropriate one for the C85). I don't mind the Stromberg but some folks said go with the Marvel with the accelerator pump (One friend said the Marvel saved a forced landing when his fuel screen clogged up and using the pump he made a landing at an airport!).
What problems will I have with the AirBox and lower cowl with the Marvel?
What to do with the mixture, wire it rich or somehow put a control available from the back seat?

My emgine guy talked me into a C85-12 since in my old age I may need a starter and battery in the future!

Here are some of the initial pics of the engine being put together:
