The switch pictured below belongs to a friend of mine. He has offered to give it to me for my Cub. My Cub is a 1946 model, serial number 20409. I hear a great deal about the AAC Type A7. I have an A9 (which has battery position). Was the A7 installed at the factory? Was it a surplus WWII switch in used in post-war Cubs?

Is it possible this is a pre-war Cub switch?

The front is marked OFF MAG1 MAG2 BOTH rather than OFF L R BOTH on the A-7.

I'd be interested to learn what this if for. It is marked Briggs & Stratton on the back.
