Landing Gear Question

Been searching the forum, but have not found an answer so far.

Plan to remove one of the Vag's landing gear this week to replace fabric. When the gear is removed, what do folks here set under the airplane with the gear on one side removed?
Someone though I might be able to use a J3 gear to set the Vag on, but the attach points are wider on a Cub.
