J3 Front seat shoulder harness

Can someone school me on front seat shoulder harnesses for my 46 J3 Cub restoration. Almost done covering the inside and need to make final decision on the front seat shoulder harness. Where to mount? Middle, left or right. Reel or no reel? Or maybe no shoulder at all.........

I want the shoulder harness for added safety, while trying not to ruin the pilot environment because of things hanging around his(or her) head all the time.

Yes! I am over thinking this. HELP
