We had a very good year - just enough folks to make it fun, not enough to over- work me. Probably 50 hours total. I guess I could count them.

My new broker found a policy last year for our instructional Cub that we could afford, and off we went at $75/hour for the aircraft. The new broker also saved me $800/ year on my personal airplanes, so after a quarter-century with Avemco, off I went.

Now it is time to renew. No accidents, no claims, no violations, no nothing, and the premium TRIPLED!

We will probably do it - we have only two choices, and one of them is no instruction in the Cub. But the rate has to jump. Too bad. No wonder nobody is learning to fly!

I am just hoping my personal aircraft policies do not triple. I better check on the CFI insurance - without that, I am dead in the water.
