I have a J-3 that has been out of annual for 20 years. And I would like to return it to airworthiness.

I have read many of the threads on this forum about the fine-print-legality of the A-691 type cert.

The data plate of my Cub says "MODEL J-3C-65, SERIAL 230XX, ENGINE CONTINENTAL A-75, MFG. DATE 2-XX-47"

There isn't an A-75 J-3 type certified in the original A-691, no?
Did Piper re-issue, or issue new data plates for A-75 conversions?

Thanks! Jim
