I assumed with practice my landings would improve in consistancy...they have not ! I was just reading some helpful techniques on Supercub.org by Chuck E. but I think he was describing sight pictures where you can see forward after the flare. I'm 5'-9" and after flare I can only use things to the side. I guess his "point at which apparent movement ceases" can be moved to the side of the fuselage..need to try that. But, if that works well in judging height above the ground (I always flare too high except when I don't) do you simply lower the nose if too high and "reflare" ? If I could reliably place the mains just above the surface above stall speed everything would be fine ! Any other ideas or techniques for a J3 ?
