I've been holding this one in for a bit, but believe I finally have it figured out.
During restoration, I bolted on a new Univair cabane and upoer/lower gear struts with bungees. Since then, the plane had sat slightly right wing low. After a few days of measuring I think I have it licked.
On the left landing gear, I measured the distance from the fwd gear mount (center of the bolt) to the axle bolt where the lower strut bolts on (center of the bolt). It's 24 13/32".
On the right gear, that same measurement is 24 1/32". So, it's off 3/8".
So, I jacked the right gear 3/8" and voila, the airplane sits level.
I realize that isnt a measurement normally used, but it tells me that either my axle is bent up at the inboard portion, or the leading edge of the gear leg isn't the same size as the other.
Note: all the new Univair parts were, of course, perfect.
I think this is easily fixable a few different ways, but I want to hear from the gang. Be nice, shes my baby.
