Getting the Horizontals off

Hey guys, new to the forum here.
I have a cub project and am trying to get the horizontals off, but the tubing on the LE of the horizontals has corroded into the steel sleeve on the fuselage. We've tried to knock them out with a hammer, but to no luck. I know that plenty of other people must have encountered this same problem and must have a good solution.
Any help is appreciated.
