I'm looking at a plane that's been outside for the last 10-15 years. Fabric is still very tight, but the finish is showing its age, peeling, cracking, patch here and there... I've never worked fabric! (I'm a sheet metal man) My question is: what do I have to do to the surfaces so I can repaint them and what's the best product to use for finish? My plan is to pull the wings and do the job in my shop during the winter.
