Engine mount rubbers

3 of the 4 mount rubbers are not far enough in on the front side. The rear seems to be fine. I thought they may move in when I started to tighten the nuts, but they won't budge. I'm afraid to tighten them much for fear of damaging the rubber. They aren't in nearly far enough for me to get to the cotter pin hole. Anyone else had this problem?
