I recieved a card in the mail that stated as of the first of the year ELTs will no longer be monitored on 121.5 MHZ. The new frequency will be a digital 400 MHZ signal. I am currently using an EBC 102 ELT can that one be upgraded or do I have to purchase a new one? What about hand held radios with the 121.5 MHZ channel can that also be changed to 400 MHZ?
As always the wisdom and knowledge on this site is very helpful for a new cub owner.
