Hi, I'm a newbie here in Corona CA and new to Cubs in general. We have a very nice 1946 Cub at our club, that I am just getting the hang of. I intend to use it to work towards my Sport Pilot CFI over the next few months and hopefully find myself some students in the future. Is there anyone here who is actively using a Cub for instruction, specifically as an LSA? I am lucky to have found an examiner willing to do the CFI checkride in the Cub. One thing that I am a little worried about is having the operating limitations to present to the examiner; what passed for a POH for the Cub seems to have varied over the years. (I am gathering what's out there.) Add to that the fact that this Cub has a hybrid engine; C-85 with 0-200 bits in it, but no electrical system - how would I answer, for example, a question about take-off distances?
I could just use the club's Tecnam , but what fun is that....?
