Maybe I have just lived a sheltered life. I have never seen a J-3 (or L-4) with an unbalanced rudder. Most of the J-3s, PA-11s and PA-12s I have seen have unbalanced elevators. I thought that the balanced elevators later retrofitted to the aforementioned were PA-18 elevators. Are there "Cub" balanced elevators?
