I just got off the phone with Dave Henderson, and he suggested I do a request here for a copy of a 337. I'm looking for a 337 that was approved prior to October 1, 1955 which approved a Continental A-65 on a Piper J3F.

I'm also looking for a copy of the ACO letter that he submitted, which stated that the J3L and J3C are in essence the same aircraft even though under different type certificates. The ACO stated that there were no difference in serial numbers of the three (Lycoming, Franklin, and Continental).

I'm going around and around with a DAR and the Boise FSDO trying to get a piece of paper (Airworthiness Certificate) that states what I already know: it'll fly.

Thanks,
