Almost all Super Cubs have mixed weight and balances.

I just found my first J-3 mixed computation - I haven't checked the math yet, but the folks who computed it used the Piper datum 46" forward of wing LE, then computed fuel at 18" aft of that. They decided solo rear seat only - even with no fuselage tank and full wing tanks!

You would think an alarm bell would go off somewhere when the CG appears in front of the leading edge.
