I have a stock single groove trim system. Only thing I've changed on the rebuild is to go to a metal pulley up front (Univair part). With the idler/tensioner pulley adjusted all the way out (minimum tension) the cable seems extremely tight. It's so tight that to install the cable, I had to remove it from the two fairleads back behind the rear seat (to allow a slightly straighter line) and then start the cable on the back cable and turn the pulley so as the cable would ride on, similar to putting a bicycle chain on a bike. With it installed, it seems really tight. takes a pretty good pull to deflect the cable an inch or so. What do you think? I saw on an earlier posting a gentleman named Tony Cesare makes custom cables, but that posting was a couple years ago, is he still around? or is there someone making them? Thanks
