Was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on L-4s (I really like the greenhouse rear windows). Was at the Chino Planes of Fame Airshow today with my 7 year old and must admit, it certainly rekindled an interest in warbirds. 10 P-51s in the air at one time today...got goosebumps. Little out of my price range. There are two great looking L-4s on barnstormers right now. One Sun n Fun award winner and one Oshkosh winner. How much should one expect to pay for one of these beauties? By the way, going back to Chino (I live in San Diego, about a 2 hour drive with traffic) tomorrow with my 10 year old. They love everything military (especially planes, my 10 year old wants me to buy the C-47 "D-Day Doll" - go figure, can't interest him in a P-51 or F4U Corsair). I would be their hero if I actually bought a warbird.
