Hi folks,

I am a new Sport Cub owner having taken delivery on SN 00049 1 week ago. I, like many, flew with Brian Thompson on Mon and Tues. He can really make that thing perform. I met Gary Lickle who was very helpful for my ground transportation while in YKM.Thanks Gary for being my chauffeur. I'm sorry that I missed the open house At Cubcrafters but I needed to begin my adventure flying home to Georgia.I am a 100+ hour taildragger pilot with 3000 hrs mostly in Bonanzas and Barons. The S2 performed quite well on my journey home handling very well in tough crosswinds. On one landing into Huron,SD, I had winds 170@22G36 and I still didn't bend the airframe :). The Garmin 496 is awesome too helping me to find the best landing airports for the surface winds and when it was safe to fly VFR on top using the satellite views and cloud tops. All in all a real adventure. I won't do it again for a while at least in that plane.Maybe I'll fly with Delta to YKM next year for the open house.
