Where do I go to get new wood spars for a 46 J3c-65? Bought a "real piece" over the week end and I need to start gathering parts for a long term project. Jon

Call Freeman Aviation (800-635-5631), I have a good friend that did for his wood spars. Thanks, Papa Bear

Have bought a few from both Wicks and Spruce... Have the correct sizes when you call. Last set was about $850 for four. Make sure you get solid wood spars, not glued together spars...bought some a while back form an un-named source and although legal, Stick to the solid Sitka spruce or Douglas Fir.

Thanks for the help. This is going to be a long project, but I have to start collecting somewhere. Thanks again, Jon.

Just a question. I have restored a '46 J-3 with metal spars and was under the impression that '46 & '47 models all came with metal.
