Spar signatures

Upon removal of fabric (grade A) from a 1937 J-2, we discovered several dated signatures, two on the spar and one on the right wing false spar. They are all within a week of each other (November 1937). Wondering if these were required pre-cover inspection signatures or simply three factory workers that were signifying pride in their work. Have any of you found similar signatures? Thanks.......Gary
