Does anyone have a source for a J-5 wing tank ? I thought I would call Atlee Dodge and see if they would build me one ? My old ternplate one doesn't leak but it has
had some JB Weld repairs and has held up OK . I would like to have a new one . Since there are no new ones available to buy would that fit the owner produced
parts with approval from an A&P or AI ? As far as I know no one makes them new off the shelf like Univair or Wag-Terror . ;) I am going to post at Supercub, org
too . I talked to a fellow J-5 owner and a guy took his old one for a pattern and made him a tank out of aluminum and his AI approved it . Is that OK ?
I know a true craftsman here that could build me one ......he built a new tank for his L-4 Cub and painted it OD green and it's still huffing and puffing along .

Bob what do you think about it ?? .........Mike
